Almond Treats

If you have a sweet tooth and you believe 'moderation is key' in life, then these little treats work for you!

Ingredients:

Unsalted almonds

milk chocolate (chocolate chips, candy bar, etc, approx 1 cup worth)

Directions:

Step 1: Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Set aside.

Step 2: Using the double boiler technique (take a small pot, place 1 inch of hot water and place a heat-proof bowl over top the pot. Bring the water to a boil). Add your chocolate to the bowl. Constantly mix the chocolate together as it melts. Carefully remove the bowl when the chocolate is fully melted.

Step 3: With a spoon, add a dollop of melted chocolate (roughly 1/2 tbsp) to the wax paper. Do this multiple times until all the chocolate is gone. Quickly add 3-4 almonds to each "blob". Press the almonds into the chocolate. Place the baking sheet into the fridge and let cool for 1 hour.

Step 4: Once the chocolates have solidified, remove them from the wax paper and place into a bag or container. Keep the almonds in the fridge as a snack and ENJOY!
