Sautéed Shrimp

This is a really quick way to serve up some shrimp. Add it to pasta, tossed with some fresh herbs, olive oil and lemon juice, or alongside a main meal, or have it as a side.

I always keep a frozen bag of raw shrimp in my freezer. I always by 31-40 count, shell- on, deveined and raw. I always remove the shells before cooking, even though people say keep the shells on while cooking, apparently it 'locks in' the flavour. Use your own preference!

Ingredients: raw shrimp (thawed, & however many you want to use), 1 tbsp of olive oil, 2 green onions chopped up, 2 cloves of garlic minced, salt and pepper, 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes.

Directions: In a large frying pan over medium heat, add the olive oil and let it heat up. Season the raw shrimp with a little bit of pepper and salt. In the frying pan, add the green onions and garlic. Saute for a minute, then add the shrimp.

Shrimp doesn't take very long to cook. Cook 30-60 seconds per side, flip and cook. If you cook the shrimp too long, they will become tough. So when the shrimp just turn pink, they are done!

Remove from pan and eat.
