Super Meal

This is a recipe from my childhood. Similar to a Goulash, a very simple yet comforting dish. 
Serves 6

Ingredients:

1 lb of lean ground beef

1 package of Onion Soup Mix

1 green pepper, chopped

1 tsp of dried oregano

1 tsp of dried basil

Dash of cayenne pepper

Pepper

1- 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, undrained

2 cups of water

2 cups of whole wheat macaroni pasta

1 1/2 cups of mozzarella geese, shredded 

Directions:

Step 1: In a large frying pan over medium heat, add ground beef and cook. Drain any excess fat. 

Step 2: Add dried soup mixture, oregano, basil, cayenne pepper, green pepper, can of tomatoes with juices and water. Mix to combine. Bring to a boil. Season with black pepper. 

Step 3: Add macaroni, mix to combine, simmer on low for roughly 20 minutes, stirring as needed. 

Step 4: Preheat the oven to 350 F. Add the mixture to a large casserole dish. Top off with shredded cheese. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve and ENJOY!
