Roast Beef with Creamy Onion Gravy

This is the best roast beef recipe! So simple and delicious.

For Slow Cooker users: Add an extra can of cream of mushroom soup to the mixture. Place half the sauce on the bottom of your slow cooker, add the roast and place the rest of the sauce over top. Cook on low for 8 hours and enjoy a very tender roast beef!

Serves 6-8

Ingredients:

1 sirloin roast, 2-3 lbs

1 package of dry Onion Soup Mix

1 can cream of mushroom soup, low in fat

1 can of mushrooms

pepper

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the gravy by combining the soup mix, soup and can of mushrooms together. Season the roast liberally pepper. Put the roast in a pan or large casserole dish and pour over the mixture, combine so the roast is completely covered. If you use a roasting bag Such as a Look! bag), put the soup mixture in first then the roast. I find this method makes the roast a lot more tender and better tasting meat.

Step 2: Cook the roast at 350 F for roughly 1 and half hours or more until cooked. Remove the roast and let it sit for a bit at least 15 minutes before slicing. Remove all the gravy from the pan or the roasting bag and put in a bowl or gravy boat. This leftover gravy is essential for this dish. Serve with roasted potatoes and vegetables, add the gravy on top.
