Kara's Highly Addictive Chocolate Chip Cheeseball
My friend Kara introduced this ridiculously addictive sweet cheeseball to me a long time ago. This is a great treat at a potluck or a little get together! Try to share it so you won't eat the whole thing yourself.
Ingredients:
1 package of cream cheese (250 grams, 8 oz), at room temperature
1/2 cup of butter, softened
1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
3/4 cup of icing sugar
2 tbsp of brown sugar
3/4 cup of mini chocolate chips
Skor bits
box of Nilla wafer cookies (vanilla) to dip with
Directions:
Step 1: In a stand up mixer or with a hand mixer, beat together the cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a large bowl until well combined. Gradually add the icing sugar and then the brown sugar.
Step 2: Fold in the mini chocolate chips with a spatula. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill for 2 hours.
Step 3: Place a large piece of plastic wrap on the counter. Place the chilled mixture on the plastic wrap. Fold up the plastic to form the cheese into a ball. Once formed, place the Skor bits on a large plate and gently roll the cheeseball in the Skor bits, until the cheeseball is coated in the Skor bits.
Step 4: Place the cheeseball on a platter and place the vanilla Nilla cookies around the dip. Serve.
