Sangria is one of those beverages that you can throw any fruit or liquid in and it will taste great. Adding pop like gingerale or 7-up gives this drinks a bubbly or effervescence feeling. Add any kind of wine you like, I usually use a Cabernet or Pinot Noir.
1 bottle (750 mL) of red wine
1 cup of raspberry or strawberry vodka
1/2 cup of grenadine
1 large can of pineapple juice, 1.36 L
slices of fruit: oranges, lemon & limes
gingerale, to serve
Step 1: In a large pitcher, add the wine, vodka, grenadine syrup, pineapple juice and fruit. Mix together and let sit for a minimum of 4 hours (best if made the night before drinking)
Step 2: To serve, add a few ice cubes to a glass, pour in some sangria and top off with some gingerale.
