Breakfast Smoothie

We were all told while growing up that the most important meal of the is breakfast. Personally, this is a meal often neglected. With the recent purchase of a blender, I started to make smoothies each more to bring to class with me. Frozen fruit is perfect for smoothies. Very accessible and they don't need thawing before use.


6 frozen strawberries

1 whole banana

1/4 cup of vanilla yogurt

1 tsp of grounded flax seed

1/2 cup of skim milk

*Optional: If you or significant other happens to use a vanilla flavoured protein powder (gym buffs!), add 2 tbsp for extra protein and a yummy flavour enhancer


Combine all ingredients into your blender. Process until smooth and enjoy.
