Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
Typically jalapeño poppers are breaded, but these guys are wrapped in bacon and baked! They are a tasty hot bite.
10 whole jalapeños
10 slices of bacon, cut in half
3/4 block of cream cheese (6 oz, ~190 grams)
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375F.
Step 2: Wash the jalapeños and dry them. Cut the tops off and discard. Cut the peppers lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds *Wash your hands immediately or wear gloves since the inside of the jalapeños are very hot and can burn!
Step 3: Take 1/2-1 tbsp of cream cheese and press it into a jalapeño half, evenly spreading it out.
Step 4: Take a half a slice of bacon and begin at the bottom of the jalapeño wrap it around, spiralling up the pepper. Secure it with a toothpick if needed.
Step 5: Repeat with all the remaining ingredients. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the bacon is nice and crispy. Serve right away and enjoy!
