Homemade Turkey Broth
Using leftover turkey bones, giblets and the neck give a nice homemade broth. Adding a few aromatics and letting the bones to simmer for a few hours really gives this broth a great flavour.
turkey neck and giblets
2 sticks of celery and lots of celery leaves from stalk
1 medium onion, peeled and quartered
2 bay leaves
1 tsp of kosher salt
1/2 tsp of freshly grounded black pepper
Step 1: In the largest pot you have, add all your turkey bones, neck and giblets. Add the celery stalk, leaves, onion, bay leaves and salt and pepper. Pour enough water over everything to cover everything.
Step 2: Bring to a mild simmer for 2 hours.
Step 3: Discard solids and drain broth through a sieve and use for soups!
