Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares
These are one of my favourite treats to have around the holidays. Personally, I am a huge fan of multicoloured marshmallows! These take a few minutes to prepare. Quick and easy - my kind of dessert!
Ingredients
1/4 cup of butter, softened
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 1/4 cups of milk chocolate chips
5 cups/250 grams of mini multicoloured marshmallows
Directions:
Step 1: In a large microwavable bowl, add the peanut butter and butter. Cook for 1 minute in the microwave and stir well. Add the chocolate chips. Place back into the microwave and cook for another minute. Mix together well.
Step 2: The mixture should be silky smooth. If not, place back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.
Step 3: Fold in the marshmallows until everything is mixed together well.
Step 4: Line a 8x8 dish with parchment paper. Add the mixture and push with a spatula to ensure the squares will be an even thickness. Place another piece of parchment on top, press down firmly. Place in the fridge for a few hours until firm. Cut and serve!
*I have frozen these squares before, taken them out to room temp and they were fine!
